As summer comes to an end, it’s time to get the kids ready for school (“Already?!” Awwwww Mo-oom!“) Make a good impression on the teacher with the gift of handmade soap! In this episode, I show how to make your own eyeshadow and eyeliner from scratch using our Mineral Makeup kit. I think you’re going to be surprised at how easy it is. I also go over some of the most common mineral makeup ingredients and share two of my favorite recipes.
Here’s the recipe for the light brown eye shadow:
1/4 tsp Sericite
1/8 tsp Honeyed Beige Mica
1 mini scoop Patina Sheen Mica
1 mini scoop Cappuccino Mica
3 mini scoops Super Pearly White
And for the Dark Brown eyshadow that I used to make eyeliner:

4 mini scoops Luster Black Mica
In this episode of Soap Queen TV, I’ll show how to quickly and easily infuse Sweet Almond oil with Calendula petals. Then use this nourishing oil in a simple, from-scratch lip balm recipe featuring Shea Butter and Natural Beeswax. After a long weekend of soapmaking at Bramble Berry’s 4th annual Soap Weekend Intensive (see blog posts here and here), we’re back to work in the Bramble Berry Soap Studio filming a special episode of Soap Queen TV with Kristy from Kristy’s Lovely Lathers.

On this scrubby episode of Soap Queen TV I’m going to teach you how to make two different types of exfoliating melt and pour soaps. I used our shredded loofah in a loaf mold and an actual loofah sponge in our popular 12 bar silicone mold. In this episode, I show how to make all natural, earth-friendly, eco-chic soap. Using an organic melt & pour base, natural colors and essential oils, this soap project is made even more eco-friendly by using recycled containers as soap molds. I love how stylish and understated the soap turned out in the video and I hope you will, too! PS – I know I sound like an over-caffeinated parrot in the video (sorry). I have no idea why I was so hyper. I shot the video at 3 1/2 months pregnant on no caffeine, so I think I was overcompensating for my tiredness.
