Ingredients
Good Dog Mold 2
Injector Tool
3 oz. Clear Melt and Pour
14.25 oz. White Melt and Pour
6 mL Energy Fragrance Oil
Yellow Oxide Color Block
Perfect Red Color Block
Ultramarine Blue Color Block
Chrome Green Color Block
Brown Oxide Color Block
Black Oxide Color Block
Instructions
Cut and melt 1 oz. of clear melt and pour base in the microwave using 5-7 second bursts. The small bursts in the microwave prevent the melt and pour from burning. Add shavings of the Black Oxide Color Block until a rich, black color is achieved. Using the injector tool, fill in the eyes, noses and “ROOF” lettering. Spray with rubbing or isopropyl alcohol to disperse bubbles.Note: Keep a container of hot, soapy water nearby to clean out the injector tool throughout the project. If you don’t, soap will harden in the injector tool.
Cut and melt down .5 oz of clear melt and pour base in the microwave using 5-7 second bursts. Add shavings of the Perfect Red Color Block, and fill in the tongue and hearts. Spray with isopropyl alcohol to disperse bubbles and clean the Injector Tool.
Cut and melt 1.5 oz. of clear melt and pour base in the microwave using 5-10 second bursts. Add shavings of Brown Oxide Color Block until a dark brown color is achieved. Once the soap has reached approximately 125 °F, use the injector tool to fill in the spot of the basset dog, the body of the dog saying “Roo!” and one dog in the mold with hearts. Spray with isopropyl alcohol to disperse bubbles, and clean the Injector Tool with hot water.
Cut and melt 1.5 oz. white melt and pour base in the microwave using 5-7 second bursts. Once the soap has reached an approximate temperature of 125 °F, spray all molds with alcohol to help the layers adhere. Use the Injector Tool to fill in the “Roof!” bubble, the basset dog, and the other dog in the mold featuring hearts. Clean the injector tool, and spray with isopropyl alcohol to disperse any bubbles.
Cut and melt down 4.25 oz of white melt and pour base in the microwave using 10 second bursts. Add shavings of the Ultramarine Blue Color Block, until your desired color is achieved. Add 2 mL of Energy Fragrance Oil, and stir to thoroughly incorporate.
Once the soap is fully melted, and has reached a temperature of about 120 °F, spray a mold cavity with isopropyl alcohol and gently pour the soap into the cavity.
Spray the top of the cavity with alcohol to disperse any bubbles.
Cut down and melt 4.25 oz of white melt and pour in the microwave using 10 second bursts. Add shavings of the Yellow Oxide Color Block until a soft yellow color is achieved. Add 2 mL of Energy Fragrance Oil and stir to thoroughly combine. Once the soap has reached a temperature of approximately 120°F spray a cavity with isopropyl alcohol, and gently pour the yellow soap into a mold cavity. Spray with alcohol to disperse any bubbles.
Cut down and melt 4.25 oz of white melt and pour in the microwave using 10 second bursts. Add shavings of the Chrome Green Color Block until a soft green color is achieved. Add 2 mL of Energy Fragrance Oil and stir to thoroughly combine. Once the soap has reached a temperature of approximately 120°F spray a cavity with isopropyl alcohol, and gently pour the green soap into the remaining mold cavity. Spray with alcohol to disperse any bubbles.
Allow the soap to fully harden and cool. To remove from the mold, using the palm of your hand to firmly press on the front of the mold to release the air lock. If you have difficulty removing the soap, place in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes and try again.
