Why crafty guys make better husbands

I think crafty guys make the best partners. Here’s why:

1. Because it shows a dedication to the creative side of life
2. Because it shows an ability to focus on something other than themselves for longer than 10 minutes
3. Because it probably means they can match colors
4. Because they’re okay with going shopping with you (see #3)
5. Because they might actually be helpful when going shopping with you (See #3 and #4)
6. Because you can do activities other than t.v. in the evening
7. Because you can make Christmas, Easter, Happy Bulgarian Rootgrower’s Day, cards together
8. Because creativity as a family is fun
9. Because you want your husband to help nuture your child’s craft projects
10. Because it’s nice to have company at the scrapbooking/knitting/soaping/craft table
11. Because it means they can fix things

And, the best reason?

12. Because they don’t complain about your crafting messes

Does anyone have anything else to add?

    13. Because you don’t have to wait for a “repair” man
    14. Because when I start & try finish a “handyman” project, there is always someone to pick up the pieces
    15. Because all my children learned, from their father, to use a hammer before riding a bike
    16. Because life is NEVER dull with a “crafty” type of guy~ even if some projects are never really finished…

I wish I could get my hubby to craft with me. I asked him to help wtih my soap once back when I first started. After he put the gloves on I reminded him how dangerous the lye could be so not to touch it. OMG, you should have seen him. He was so scared that it took me twice as long to get the soap done and afterwards I got an hour lecture of how I was never ask for help with my craft projects again.

Michelle, that’s actually kind of funny – the part about him not wanting to help with your scary crafting again. Lye can be very intimidating for people that haven’t used it before. When I teach, it’s the most common question/fear that I get – the concern about lye.

I love my crafty husband! He tore our bathroom out down to the studs and remodeled it in ONE weekend. He rocks!

Ohohoh, I have one! If your husband is crafty in the photog area (like mine, yay!) he can take pics for you!

OOooooh, I like that a lot! Taking photographs can be so high pressure; it’s such an important part of business. Great job on snagging yourself a crafty, talented hubby =)

Because when you’re standing there with your hair scraped back, goggles, gloves and old clothes on, he doesn’t care – he usually looks just as bad…;o)

So true – though I will admit that in my husband’s case, he is ADORABLE no matter what he’s wearing or how he looks. =)
