While going through inventory today, we came across some Birchwood Molds that had been returned to Bramble Berry. They have been used used once or twice but are definitely still useable.

There are 2 small molds and 4 large molds. We’re selling these very funcational (and also currently sold out molds) for $25 (small) and $40 large. Buyer pays shipping.
If you’d like a great deal on these molds, just email me (info at brambleberry dot com).

Update: These are all spoken for now. Wow! You flooded the email box and I’m still sorting out the time/date stamps! =)

  1. Hi Anne Marie,

I love your birch molds and have recently bought 12 of them. I make cold-process soaps for 2 chains here in the Twin Cites and my business is taking off like crazy. So Blessed. How long should I leave the lids on my soap boxes after pouring? I purchased extra dividers for my boxes so I can remove the block and use the box sooner. I am doing my best to avoid soap ash and wonder if leaving the lids on longer helps with that. Shannon Klingman, Chaska, Minnesota

    1. 12 of them! You’re doing some serious production work there. We are working on silicone liners so you never need to line them again, by the way! =)

I typically just use the lids to help with gel phase and keep the heat in. And, it helps with stacking and storage.

If you’re having trouble with soda ash, have you tried doing a 5% water discount AND spray with 91% rubbing alcohol after your soap has been poured? That should take care of most of the problem. =)

Keep me posted how it goes!

  2. Jessica in Florida? Is there a soapmaker near me?? A teacher, perhaps?

What is your advice for a beginner soapmaker (cold process). A break-away mold and then slice, or something like this? I kind of like the idea of slicing my own soap.

  3. Great! I think only three of the molds are spoken for so that bodes well for you Tracy =) I’ll email you on Monday.
